On 5 June 2009 the Council of Europe in co-operation with the National Television and Radio Council will hold a round table on “Television and Radio Broadcasting Legislation in Azerbaijan”, which will take place in the AF Hotel, Novkhani.
The participants of the event will be responsible officials of the Presidential Administration and the National Television and Radio Council, members of the Milli Majlis, top managers of the local TV and Radio companies, as well as representatives of the Council of Europe, international organisations and the embassies accredited in Azerbaijan.
The round table will try to bring together various interested parties to form a space for discussions of the recently made ammendments and additions to the “Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Television and Radio Broadcasting”. The event will also touch upon the role of broadcasting regulatory authorities in promotion and development of different and diverse TV space.
The round table will start at 10.00 and will continue up to 17.00 . Please note that the working languages of the event will be English and Azerbaijani.
