Description: In the context of the world economic crisis, the Ministers responsible for social cohesion in the 47 member states of the Council of Europe intend to reinforce their political commitment in favour of an equal access of all – including the most vulnerable groups – to social rights, in order to improve stability and well-being in society.
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will address the conference at 12 pm on Thursday 26 February.
Other guest speakers include the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Terry Davis, the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, Thomas Hammerberg, and the Minister for Public Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation, Tatiyana Golikova.
